Yes I would reccomend this book because although it is written in an older dialect it is interesting and holds adventure. This book is only the beginning of a whole series of books that are all about the magical land of Narnia and all the great adventures in it. This series has also been made into movies that have been watched over and over. Actually they are one of my favorite series of movies and books. C.S Lewis did a great job in writing this book. It takes on the image of Jesus, sacrificing Himself for his children. The book is full of magical creatures and is a great read for children and parents alike.

Great job Rachel! I love how you included the part that it represents the sacrifice of Jesus to save Christans, just as Aslan died to save Narnia. Who would you reccomend the book to?

Yes, I would reccomend this book to anyone who is interested in the fantasy and myth genre. Many love the Percy Jackson series where ancient myths and modern society are mixed into one. THE MAGICAN does the same, where there are immortals living all over the world and elders trying to steal the Codex. The book is a fun and interesting way to learn about History and Ancient Civilizations, but in the modern setting. The author, Michael Scott, can make you beleive that magic is all around you and will capture at the first moment. If you enjoyed the first book in The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flammel Series, The Alchemest, will also love the Magican. So, yes, I would definately reccomend the book to anyone interested in those kind of books.

I wouldnt recomend this book because it starts really slow and makes you want to read it becaus eyou would think it gets more interessting but it actually doesnt get any better it just gets more boring because throughout the book there is alot of talking with lyra and will and they want to go to oxford but will doesnt want to go but they have to find some dust. So they have to go and there was also some piartes tht came and the book doesnt go into details abou the fight. thats what i think i dont like the book.
